Just Added a Marketplace Item and Saw Views Right Away?

    Richard Scully • Jan 22, 2021

Some members have noticed that right when they add a item it almost immediately shows CLICKS. Why so fast?

We wanted to help explain why a brand new marketplace item might show clicks almost immediately after it is posted.

When you post a new item in the Chamber Member Marketplace and save it we immediately post your display to our @BuyLocalProgam twitter feed. We find that instantly companies like http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/dotbot, https://www.exploring.org/, https://moz.com/ some how open those displays to view or index the content.

We found recently in house that we created an item, we sent the item automatically to twitter and instantly we had 30 requests.

We would have to assume that when we post your items to twitter a lot of immediate activity occurs and is the reason that you would see so much activity right out the gate.

After this initial swarm then things go back to normal and you will see normal growth of your click-through rates.
