Subject: Update on Recent Traffic Adjustments
Dear Valued Customers,
This is Richard Scully, CEO.
Our engineering team took the necessary step of removing specific search requests that appeared to originate from bots rather than authentic user engagement. These numbers were escalating quickly, and my priority was to ensure we were not counting any non-genuine or suspicious traffic in our Bringing Local Back program reporting.
In order to uphold accurate and conservative reporting, we modified our backend to filter out the questionable search requests. Consequently, we opted to block that traffic and adjust the totals accordingly.
Moving forward, reports will reflect a more reliable figure that you can depend on. Rest assured, the votes reflecting user preferences (voting) remain unchanged, as they are derived from actual human interactions (one vote per IP address).
