Industry Changes to Shared Short Code Text Messages
As of the summer of 2021, major wireless carriers will start to discontinue shared short codes for all texting providers including the one Chamber Nation uses for 72727. Because of this we are getting ready with a 10 digit code that will be accepted going forward.
Dear Customers,
We wanted to let you know that we have recently learned that "shared" short codes like the one we use (72727) will no longer be allowed in the coming future. For now, our national provider cannot give a date when the major carriers will turn this off, but we know it is coming for the entire industry and not just us.
For this reason we have purchased a new 10 digit code that we will begin to start using with the intent of supporting the (72727) for as long as we can.
Please let your members know about this upcoming transition which will ultimately impact everyone now using 72727. Once this transition begins, a new 10 digit number will replace 72727, but the same functionality will continue to work.
We will update this blog post with the new code once it is fully provisioned and working.
Thank you for your understanding,
Richard Scully, CEO

We're heading to New Orleans! Our team will be at the ACCE Convention, July 20-22, and we're bringing MMS 2.0 and Pippily along with us. If you're a chamber or association manager, this is your sign to come say hi. We build for one reason: Building Stronger Chambers. Powering Stronger Communities. We exist to make your day-to-day easier, whether that's managing member renewals, tracking engagement, or showing your board the value you're creating. We'd love to show you what's new. Leading the charge for us on the ground is Pria Vijayaratnam, our Director for Enterprise Growth. Here's a note from her: Whether you're a longtime Chamber Nation member, exploring MMS 2.0, or just curious about what Pippily can do for your chamber's member engagement, I'd be happy to walk you through what's new — no slides, no pressure, just a real conversation. If you're planning to be at ACCE, I'd love to set aside 20–30 minutes to meet one-on-one. — Pria Vijayaratnam, Director of Enterprise Growth So if you'll be at ACCE26, find us. Say hello — we'd genuinely love to meet you and talk about how we can support what you're building. See you in New Orleans!
