When you consider the three words in “Chamber” “of” “Commerce”, it is obvious during this pandemic that the third word “Commerce” is by far the most valuable word to everyone right now. We think this is the only word a Chamber should be promoting and describing during their initial presentations.
But how does a Chamber possibly focus on only that third word?
The Chamber needs to understand right now that all community businesses, regardless of membership or not, are going to need a lot of promotional help. They are not going to pay as much attention to things like banner ads, or a listing on the directory, but instead to a concerted community wide effort that is backed up with help and written proof of a return on investment.
Imagine being the business owner right now and receiving a call from the Chamber about the plan to reopen the community. We think most people will be interested in hearing more.
You continue by saying that the Chamber knows the most important thing we can do now is to provide the business community with large scale promotion of the business community. This involves us doing the work for the business community. - The Chamber will provide each business with a powerful electronic business card they can promote in person, on promotional signage, email signatures, on their vehicle, and more.
- When accessed by an interested person, this converts into a lead that goes immediately to the business' phone or email so the business can directly text message or email back to help close the deal, or to introduce themself personally and offer an estimate, etc.
- The Chamber will be centralizing all of this product and service information into an accessible community website and mobile application that they can promote through all kinds of advertising.
The benefits to their businesses are strong and valuable, however the benefits to the Chamber are just as strong and valuable.
Each business pays $5 per month ($60 annually) and a one time set-up of $20. The Chamber keeps $2.50 per month ($30 annually). Since these businesses will be receiving an advertising success report each month from the Chamber, for 12 months, the Chamber will be building a relationship and a prospect for Chamber membership* after a year. *Keep in mind that these Chamber Advertising participants are not Chamber Members. They are only participating in a Chamber Program designed to re-open the community.
